The Programme
The Programme has been designed by educational experts within the charity to help young people manage and overcome today’s challenges which come in many forms, including:
PRESSURES OF SOCIAL MEDIA
BULLYING IN PERSON / ONLINE
MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES
LACK OF CONFIDENCE
PEER PRESSURE TO TAKE RISKS
The small groups of up to 12 young people meet in central venues throughout Oxfordshire every week for 15-18 months. Volunteer youth group leaders run the sessions with a professional team in support.
The Programme is designed to improve mental health and well-being and offers an amazing opportunity for personal growth and development that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

Youth Challenge Oxfordshire also works with local businesses and charities to help deliver the programme, such as MayMessy.

Historically, the groups have visited The Nasio Trust in Western Kenya for hands-on volunteering, gaining life changing experiences in a different culture.
The young people develop and grow with Youth Challenge Oxfordshire throughout the programme and many choose to stay connected with us by joining the Alumni Group after completing the programme.
